LITTLE MOMENTS
OF WONDER
I'M EMILY
I have always been a collector.

Not of matchbox cars or comic books, coke bottles or stamps. (However, when I was 10 years old, I was only two quarters shy of possessing all 50 commemorative state quarters before my mom unknowingly traded them in at the bank to lighten my bulging wallet.)

I have always collected remnants of memories. They are scattered about my home.

A silver fishing weight a kind stranger gave me as he taught me how to deep-sea fish off of a pier in South Carolina.

A white feather I found in the middle of the frozen pond that my brothers and I skate on every winter.

A water-stained letter my mom gave me on my eighth birthday.

And flowers- oh, so many flowers.
I have always been amazed by the world around me.

When I was little, I would get lost in “Emmy World” as my mother termed it. Crouched with my toes pressed into the cool mud, I would wait as still as I could while I coaxed a caterpillar to crawl up my finger and onto my shoulder. I would watch and wonder at animals and plants.

I never want to lose a curiosity about the extraordinary intricacies of the world. I never want to tire of beholding a glimpse of God’s glory in the smallest of His works.

Incorporating elements of nature into my jewelry and art, I hope to encourage you to treasure little moments we consider ordinary and beautiful things we quickly find mundane. I pray your fascination with creation becomes awe of its Creator.

Life is beautiful.
